Welcome once again all Action Rangers, Guardians, and Survivors to the March 2017 edition of the Hunters Gathering. This has been an ongoing monthly feature here at Hunters Books where we discuss various projects, announcements, and more for all of our various lines with the members of our wonderful community. March and April have and will be exciting and busy times for all of us, and we are super excited to go over these items with all of you!
Events & More
Hunters Convention Circuit – As we announced in the last Hunters Gathering, our very own Ivan Van Norman was in attendance at the GAMA Trade Show. Thanks again to everyone who popped by to visit! We talked about a number of cool things (enough that we can’t cover it all here in the update), and we even made some business arrangements that you’ll be hearing about pretty soon. All in all it was a wildly successful trip, good times had all around. Don’t forget that Ivan will also be in attendance for WONDERCON and PAX EAST as we announced last time around, and we will have some more announcements relating to the convention circuit soon.
Outbreak: Undead.. 2nd Edition Errata – As we had promised and in case you missed it on social media, we have released a batch of errata for 2nd Edition that is intended to complement and update details in the Outbreak: Undead.. 2nd Edition Starter Kit and the 2nd Edition Gamemaster’s Companion previously released in anticipation of the launch of Pandemic Play coming up soon (but before the official release of the 2nd Edition Core Books). Within you will find updated rules for: Fatigue, Resting, Natural Healing, Gear and Triggered Effect Rules, new Bushcraft Ability, an updated Injury and Damage system, new Character Status Effects, and more.
Announcements & Teasers
Outbreak: Undead.. presents Pandemic Play – We know that you have all been extremely excited for the launch of Pandemic Play for our first official Season. At this time we are excited to announce that you will be getting your hands on the first bit of Pandemic Play materials in the upcoming month. Over the next little bit here we will no doubt have a few more details and teasers for you relating to this, so keep your eyes on social media for more as the launch draws near. Don’t forget to grab the previously mentioned 2nd Edition errata to be up to speed before the event begins.
Outbreak: Undead.. Videos – After recently being featured on Smosh Games webseries Board AF, and having previous been featured on the Geek & Sundry show No Survivors we are pleased to let you know we have a few special video projects in the pipeline. These are not completely finalized just yet, so we are not dropping any specific details just now, but needless to say we have certainly heard your requests for “more” loud and clear. The best news of all regarding this is that we have more than just one thing in the pipeline, so even if some stuff falls through it is essentially assured there will be more Outbreak: Undead.. related content coming to a video service near you soon!
GAME – Most Popular Game in all Mother Russia: Not Really – We are all set to have GAME available in FLGS in time for International Tabletop Day! Be sure to stop by your FLGS and tell them to order GAME today. You can find out more about GAME in our previous announcement.
Outbreak: Undead.. 2E Core Books – Work continues on the Survivor’s Guide, Gamemaster’s Guide, and Stronghold Guide that will compose the Core Rule Books for 2nd Edition – some of which you can see released as part of the errata mentioned earlier. We will continue to make use of community feedback from our already released 2E products to further inform and refine the core of the game. With the fact that we are still hard at work we would continue to welcome any additional feedback you may want to provide, just stop over to our Official Forums and start up a conversation to let us know what you think or ask any questions (if you have questions it means we might be able to explain things better, and so clues us in on areas to review for clarity).
That covers it for this edition, we’ll catch you next time!
