Fight. Survive. Rebuild.
Hunters Books is very pleased and excited to announce the official launch of the Pandemic Play 2017 Season! We know you have all been eagerly awaiting this since we first announced the concept during our Kickstarter for the 2nd Edition Starter Kit and tried out a test Preseason in 2016. While we had some delays, we are very confident that we are providing you with the best setup and experience possible for our first official foray into global organized play. Now that we are officially live, what exactly do you need to do as a player or gamemaster to participate in the Season?
Playing in Pandemic Play
For your average player seeking to participate in the Pandemic Play 2017 Season all you will need to do is head over to the Pandemic Play Downloads page here on our site and download the Character Folio and the 2017 Guidelines. The Guidelines will walk you through all you need to know about participation, character creation, and any updated rules you need to be aware of that vary from the currently released 2nd Edition supplements. If you are a member of a small personal group be sure to have your gamemaster drop by and Register as an Action Ranger (see below for more details) so that they can get all of their materials. You can also check with your FLGS to see if they are participating in the Season (or request that they do so), or even find special events at gaming conventions to join. We will also eventually be releasing a special Find a Game system that you will also be able to use to find games in your area (more to come on this).
That covers just about everything you will need as a player. We also recommend that you register on our Community Forums and join in with the rest of the community.
Join the Action Rangers
If you are a gamemaster who wants to run official games of the Pandemic Play 2017 Season you will need to go and Register as an Action Ranger with us. This will add you to our Action Rangers mailing list so that we can keep you updated on any new details as the Season progresses, and access to special Action Ranger content to help you make your sessions the best possible experience for your players. This is also how you will get the 2017 Action Ranger Guidelines. You’ll find information about running personal games or large scale events at FLGS and gaming conventions, details on the setting that are best left a mystery to players to experience in game, and much more.
Just like players, we suggest you head over to the Community Forums and register for an account there as well to join in with the community.
Good Luck Survivors
That pretty much covers the basics for right now. Of course as the Season progresses we will have additional updates and content coming so be sure to drop back and check in on that often. So, read up and settle in for this historic launch of our global organized play initiative – and good luck survivors!
